Product types in Tradefy. In Tradey products can be divided into basic and subsidiary. The basic product is the one behind the real physical item. A subsidiary product is a product that consists of two or more items. Unlike the base product, the subsidiary product does not have to be completed as a whole and does not have to be in stock simply when placing an order for a subsidiary product. Tradefy checks whether such a product is physically available. for the subsidiary, if it is not in the order, the basic products that are included in the subsidiary are recorded.
No matter what product you want to create, the procedure starts with creating a base product and then you can make it a child by adding the items it contains.
Creating a basic product
To add a new product from the main menu, select Catalog then the Product submenu. This will load the page with all your available products.

To start, press the Add button / blue at the top right with a + / sign.

The product creation and editing page has several tabs, the most important being Information, Data and Images.
In the Information tab the required field is the name, if you will use the data for listing resellers, you must fill in the relevant languages, if the information is only for stock, click the arrow at the end of the title line and the system will automatically fill in all titles for all languages. what you entered.
Other data are only needed if Tradefy will be listed, if you can’t fill them out.
In the Data tab, the important fields are Model and EAN. In the model field you have to give a short description of the product. If the product already has a barcode you should enter it in the ean EAN field / if the barcode starts with 0 you miss the first one it is best to test what the barcode scanner reads and enter only what it reads /, If the product does not have a barcode press the button enclosed with circle and the system will generate a barcode that can be used by tradefy. You can leave the other fields in this tab blank.
You need pictures if you list products from tradefy and to navigate more easily in the lists of your products.
To upload pictures of the product, select the Images tab.
Click on the photo of the cart and a menu for uploading pictures to the server will appear. Photos must be in jpg format with a size no larger than 1500 by 1500px. To add additional images, click the Add button marked with a circle.
After filling in the required data, press the diskette button at the top right, marked with a circle.
Change the product to a subsidiary
From the main menu, select Catalog and then the Compound submenu
Find the product you want to change to a daughter and click the hyperlink with an eye like the one with the red circle.
Press the blue button Edit like this in the bottom circle, In the new form fill in the products of which the child is composed, to add a new line press one of the buttons with loop +. be sure to fill in the amount for each of the base entering the child.
Click the floppy disk button and you already have a daughter product.
All daughter products have an orange man in the cage after the eye button.
